Hello hello! So pretty much a week ago, I celebrated my birthday. Yea me! Even thought it was on Friday the 14th, we celebrated on the 13th. It was a jolly ol good time, and yes, I got an iPod, which I have been WAY excited for! I only have a portion of everything I want already put on there, but I'm slowly collecting songs.Friday, we traveled up to BYU-I to watch Lib's Extravadance performance. I loved watching her dances (she's on the World Dance team so they did some awesome ones from like Turkey and such), but my favorite was probably watching the modern dance teams. They did this amazing jungle dance. It think I literally didn't take a breath for the three short minutes that it lasted.
I've been way excited lately because, yes, I finally got them! We ordered the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Percy Jackson books!!! Yipee! They came in the mail Monday, and I've haven't been able to put them down. I read the first one this summer, but NO libraries within 2o miles had any more of the series!! I was SO frusrated! So, I cracked down and bought all three. :D I highly, highly suggest these books! It's hard to describe, but I'll try. Pretty much it's a series that deals mainly with Greek Mythology. The main character-- Percy Jackson-- finds out he is a "half-blood," or in other words, one of his parents is a Greek God. He goes to camp that is full of kids who have one immortal parents, and because of this, monster are hunting them. Like I said, it sounds kind of corney when I try to describe it, but it is awesome! The books are well written with lots of voice and humor. There's tons of action, and interesting plot lines. Everything I could ask for! So yes, go out and read these books! The first one is called The Lightening Theif, by Rick Riordan. Happy readings! :)
